Life's a beach, get it?

Like the reemergence of a long lost friend, a zest for both writing and the world around me has recently broke though, allowing the words that fill my mind to flow on paper like never before. So many ideas, and so many directions I could take them. I don’t know exactly what I’m going to be doing, but I’ve decided I don’t need a formula, no mold as to why I’ll be writing. Writing itself is a purpose, with no necessity for why or how. It’s something you just have to let flow, without the limitation of already knowing the end result.

Nothing has been going on, really lately, just the usual teenage-early adulthood identity crisis, not knowing which way I’m going to or how I’ll get there. School, friends, family, all of those are difficult, complicated even at their easiest. I am still reaching for law school, majoring in english. Although, I know my true passion would be journalism. Writing about the world, and maybe even making a difference, but the probability of success in that field is not very high. At least law school would provide somewhat of a promise of economic comfort.

Living at home has not made things easier. I’ve gotten to the point where family is best loved from afar. I love my parents, but I hope that I don’t end up like them, in any aspects.

Of course I have to comment about the VMAs: Firstly, it’s the VMAs aka the Kanye West Awards, where the winners are chosen by Mr. West himself. After all, Mr. West in his infinite wisdom, and musical genius, is the thing musical legends are made of, right? Wrong. Back to reality, VMA’s are chosen by us, the people who pay $ 1.29 for the songs on iTunes (Limewire, anyone?). Why, exactly aren’t they .99 anymore? Don’t they make enough money selling overpriced laptops and iPhone plans? I digress, the point is, the whole point of the VMAs is that we get to vote for our favorites, including who had the best female video of the year. People chose Taylor Swift. So, Kanye’s vote (if he did vote) really didn’t matter. . at all. What annoys me is he decides to pick on a 17 year old girl, who sings about Tim McGraw, up for her first VMA. eople say he was just voicing his opinion, but we all have opinions. What annoys me even more is the fact he is honestly that arrogant and has such an inflated ideal about his self worth that he truly believes that anyone wants to hear who he thought had the best video. I didn’t see the nominees, so I thought that Halo was the Beyonce video he was referring to, it turns out it was “Single Ladies.” I was unaware dancing behind a white wall constitutes creating “the greatest video of the year.” Regardless, no one was going to rip the award out of Taylor’s hand and give it to Beyonce, since the great Kanye disagreed with the majority. He’s arrogant, already believing he is one of music’s greats. Poor Taylor, Kanye is a douche bag. I could’ve summed this whole paragraph up with that sentence.

. . .Lady Gaga. . . who knows how many birds were made homeless to make that thing she had over her face. Where is PETA when you need them?

P.S. I usually hate frozen quesadillas (especially anything with chicken) but Smart One Chicken Quesadillas are amazing! Go out, try it, love it.

As for movies: The Secret Life of Bees, I loved the movie, so much so, I wanted to read the book, which rarely happens.
